INTRODUCTION
Last week, I started
with a TRUE STORY.
It is covering a period of about 3 1/2 years and I said that I
would tell it in installments. Each week
I am going to print the previous installments, but they will be printed in GREEN. By doing that, anyone who has not seen
the previous installments will have them and can catch up if they are in a mind
too. At the same time anyone of you who
have read the previous installments will not have to read it all over again and
can just read the new installment. The
new installments will always be in BLACK and labeled as such.

A TRULY
UNBELIEVABLE
TRUE STORY

PREVIOUS INSTALLMENT 5-07-13
I am
going to attempt to tell you a story that is taking place right now and I am
involved in it. The entire story is complicated
and covers a period of the past 3-1/2 years.
It will have to be told in a number of installments. At this time, I am just going to give you a
basic idea as to what it is about. I am
going to ask you to take my word for the facts that I provide cause I know they
are facts by being involved.
This
involves the acquisition of an item by the U. S. Military from an individual
that has invented and patented it. It is
an item that saves equipment, precious time, and most important, will save
lives in combat.
This
individual is a very honest, patriotic, and unpretentious person from Owasso, Oklahoma. He is my neighbor and I have known him for
more than 23 years. He has had lucrative
offers to buy his patent and they wanted to have it made in China. He will not have it built anywhere, except in
the USA.
He has
been having this item produced and has been selling it at Farm & Ranch
shows. It has been accepted very
well. When he started to approach the
Military he had to make one that was much larger than what was for domestic
use. His first showing was before a
group of about 35 Military Engineers.
When he got done he received a standing ovation.
What
this man has gone through with the government is just unreal. They are suppose to be pushing and helping
small businesses, but you would never know it by the treatment he has received.
Next
week, I am going to start at the beginning and how this invention came
about.
THE
REASON FOR WRITING ABOUT THIS.
At the
beginning, I said I was going to attempt to write this story. It has become so involved, so much runaround,
so much misinformation, and so deceptive that I am very upset about it. It is my hope that by writing this in my
blog, someone, someday may pick up on it and say "This has to stop." And maybe, just maybe that someone might be a
person that can do something about the mistreatment this man has received.

THIS WEEK'S
INSTALLMENT - 4-14-13
I am starting at the beginning this
week. That is always a good way to
start. First, a little bit about this
man. We will call him Jack. (I am not going to use person names
throughout, so I won't get anyone in any trouble.)
Jack was 58 when he first got this
idea. Jack attended Oklahoma State
University and has a
Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Science.
He is an accomplished mechanic with a background in heavy earth moving
equipment operation and repair. He and
his wife have two real fine boys, 18, and 21.
One day in August 2010, he and the boys had been out boating.
They were on their way home from the
lake and Jack got quiet. The boys asked
him if he was all right? He just
answered them, yes, but that was all.
This idea had just came into his head.
When they got home, Jack went out to
his shop immediately and made the first prototype of the unit.
The above writing of this
installment, was done before I fell and broke my leg. Unfortunately, I am just not up to writing
the rest of this installment at this time.
I will pick it up next week.
I THAN ALL OF YOU FOR YOU
UNDERSTANDING.

GOVERNOR STANDS UP FOR
VOTERS.
WHERE? IN COLORADO.
BREAKING: Colorado’s
Democratic governor John Hickenlooper just signed a bill that will enfranchise
more voters and make it easier to vote in his state.
Making it easier for
eligible citizens to vote – now that’s a novel concept!
Republicans hate this
idea, of course. They know that the more
people who vote, the worse Republicans’ chances are to get elected.
The Colorado bill allows same-day registration
and requires the state to send every eligible voter a ballot by mail. Voters may still choose to vote in person, but
they will also have the option to vote by mail or at any number of voting
centers – not just a single designated precinct.
The Colorado
bill follows measures by Democratic governors to expand ballot access in states
like Delaware and Maryland, which recently expanded early
voting and approved same-day registration during early voting periods.
Let’s show Governor Hickenlooper our appreciation.
This is just one battle
won in a larger war on voting. Unfortunately, these positive efforts stand in
contrast to Republican governors’ attempts to restrict voting in their states.
Let’s celebrate this victory and continue the fight to protect every citizen’s
right to vote.
Sincerely,
Danny Kanner
Democratic Governors Association

Dear
Floyd,
The great struggle of our time is to prevent the United States from becoming an
oligarchic form of society in which the economic and political life of the
nation is controlled by a few extraordinarily wealthy families -- including
the Koch brothers who are worth over $50 billion.
Fact: The Koch brothers spent up to $400 million in the 2012
elections attempting to elect right-wing candidates to the White House, the U.S. Senate, the U.S. House and
governorships. Those efforts will continue in the future.
Fact: The Koch brothers have established or funded
dozens of right-wing organizations dedicated to providing huge tax
breaks to the rich and multi-national corporations, destroying trade unions
and workers’ rights, privatizing Social Security and Medicare and
making massive cuts to programs of vital importance to the middle class and
working families. Those efforts will continue in the future.
Fact: The Koch brothers, who have made their fortune in the
fossil fuel industry, are strongly supporting a massive disinformation
campaign to deny the reality of the planetary crisis of global warming.
Those efforts will continue in the future.
And now, the Koch
brothers want to expand their power by taking over the Tribune Newspaper
chain -- the nation’s second largest newspaper publisher. The Tribune Company chain includes such newspapers
as the Chicago Tribune, the Los
Angeles Times, the Hartford
Courant, the Orlando Sentinel, the South
Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Baltimore
Sun, the Daily Press and The Morning Call -- among other papers.
We must not allow that to happen. Please join 65,000 other
Americans in urging the Tribune Company not to sell their newspapers to the
Koch brothers. Enough is enough!

Watergate Revenge: Republicans Yearning To Impeach Obama Over Benghazi ‘Cover-Up’
May 8th, 2013
Less than four months after Barack
Obama’s inauguration, the right-wing propaganda machine is already promoting
the only imaginable conclusion to a Democratic administration that dares to
achieve a second term: impeachment. Once confined to the ranks of the birthers,
the fantasy of removing President Obama from office is starting to fester in
supposedly saner minds.
Certainly impeachment is on the mind of Mike Huckabee,
the Fox News commentator who — as a former governor of Arkansas and political antagonist of Bill
Clinton – can be expected to know something about the subject. On Monday, he predicted that the president
will be forced from office before the end of his term by the controversy over
the Benghazi
consulate attack last September. According to Huckabee, while the Watergate
scandal was “bad,” Benghazi
is worse because four Americans died there, including Ambassador Christopher
Stevens.
The proximate cause for
impeaching Obama, he suggested, is the “cover-up” of the facts concerning Benghazi. Moreover, he said, if the Democrats “try to
protect the president and their party, and do so at the expense of the truth,
they will go down.” When “the facts come out,” predicted Huckabee, “something
will start” and ultimately the Democrats will lose “the right to govern.”
Presumably Huckabee
believes impeachment would be easier than winning a national election. He isn’t alone in ruminating on the removal of
a president who just won re-election last November — not on Fox News, anyway. (The ever-crafty Huck hedged by noting,
however, that none of this will come to pass if Democrats win the midterm
elections next year.)
Meanwhile, former UN
ambassador John Bolton, whose cranky pronouncements continue to embarrass
responsible conservatives, upped the ante by confiding what Huckabee left out –
namely, that like every desperate Republican, he yearns for a Benghazi scandal that will stick. If there was no cover-up, Bolton
insisted with characteristically twisted logic, that would prove Obama (the
president who dispatched Osama bin Laden) simply doesn’t understand the ongoing
threat from al Qaeda. “If it was merely
a political cover-up,” he noted with satisfaction, “then there can be a
political cost to pay.”
No doubt both Bolton
and Huckabee — not to mention Rep. Darrell Issa, whose House Government Reform
Committee maintains an ongoing Benghazi probe — plan to charge that cost not
only to Obama but to a certain woman who now leads every 2016 presidential
poll.
But defending American
diplomats and promoting American prestige are both foreign to the Republican
agenda, which is concerned with nothing more elevated than partisan power.
With his far-fetched
comparison to Richard Nixon’s disgrace, Huckabee helpfully unveiled a flashing
neon clue to GOP psychopathology. The desire
for revenge over Watergate, a Republican obsession for decades, was the
underlying motivation for the outlandish Whitewater investigations that
targeted the Clintons
almost 20 years ago. Now, as the Obama
presidency continues, America’s
political predicament increasingly resembles the worst moments of that era,
when the furious derangement that grips the opposition began to emerge in full.
For years we have seen
the same campaign to demonize the president, the same systematic obstruction,
the same refusal to accept a democratic verdict – and now the same urge to
invent high crimes and misdemeanors. The
only difference is that the timetable for impeachment – which didn’t commence
for Clinton
until the end of 1997 — appears to be accelerating.

I JUST
SIMPLY
CANNOT UNDERSTAND
HOW SOME
PEOPLE
CAN DO WHAT
THEY DO.
By Floyd Bowman
Publisher "Opinions Based On
Facts"
May 22, 2013
I came across the
following somewhere and I failed to get all the info. as to who wrote it. Now, if you are not a lover of wild life or
animals who are considered by some as being dumb animals, then this article
will not appeal to you. I am not one of
those. I do all that I can for any
animal along side the road that is having a problem and if I had money I would
do a lot more.
These animals hurt,
get frightened just like we do and they do not deserve to be treated like
Bentley. People that raise animals just
to see them fight another animal to the death is murder and they should be
punished accordingly.
Try to give whatever
you can to the ASPDCA. They do
tremendous work and deserve out support.
Now I don't know the full name or address, but any vet. could give it to
you. THERE ARE A LOT
OF BENTLEYS OUT THERE. LETS HOPE WE CAN
FIND THEM AND GIVE THEM THE TREATMENT THEY NEED.
By the time Bentley
arrived at ASPCA
Bergh Memorial
Animal Hospital,
he was barely hanging on to life. A
devastating kick to the head had left him with a dangerous brain
hemorrhage, broken jaw, and a broken skull, threatening to destroy his tiny
brain stem. He could barely stand or move his legs.
Bentley wasn't likely to survive the next few days, and even if he did, his
chances of walking again were very slim. Even worse, emergency surgery would be too
dangerous for him.
Still, we knew ASPCA
veterinarians were his best hope.
Any sudden
movements could have killed Bentley in those early days. ASPCA
veterinarians provided critical head trauma care, medications to reduce
fluid build-up in his brain, and comprehensive pain management—hoping
against hope to see improvement. All
the while, hospital staff tended to him round-the-clock—bathing and
cleaning him every few hours to prevent pressure sores, providing physical
therapy to his lifeless legs, monitoring his vital signs, hand-feeding him
since he couldn't move his neck—and slowly earning his trust.
That wasn't easy, as Bentley sometimes recoiled in fear when people
approached him. That's not how a
one-year-old Shih Tzu should have to see the world, but we understood. ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement
Agents rescued Bentley after receiving a call that a dog had been severely
beaten.
Veterinarians saw that Bentley was a fighter. He survived those initial
days. Then the first two weeks. As soon as he could, Bentley began lifting
his neck and wagging his tail to greet staffers. And one day, Bentley began to regain use
of his legs.
Veterinarians knew that what Bentley needed most was a loving home
environment to complete his rehabilitation. Eventually, he found a devoted
foster family who adopted him as soon as possible. Now he is showered with love. He attends doggy daycare. He has a brother named Cloudy, also
rescued from cruelty by the ASPCA. Against the odds, he's a normal, social
dog, and he couldn't be happier.
Today, after an ASPCA
investigation, the man who kicked Bentley is facing criminal charges.
Bentley is just one of so many dogs the ASPCA rescues from cruelty each year.
No dog deserves what he's been
through. Please join us in being a
force against cruelty by making a gift today.

THE CANCER OF CAPITALISM.
Just a quick note about this article.
It will have to be written up better.
I felt that it was a good article
about what today's capitalism is doing to our country. However, it contained a lot of statistics and
information that was not verified in anyway by reference. Since I can't tell you that it was factual I
am not going to post it.
However, there was one comment at the end that I thought was worthy of
passing on. It follows for whatever it
is worth to you.
"Something else that is a symptom of the malignancy called capitalism
is the move away from being a country of laws to a country of individuals too
important to prosecute and companies too big to fail.
Since the pardon of Richard Nixon on the pretense that it would harm the
country to prosecutte him for his crimes we have moved steadily away from the
concept of equality before the law. Reagan with his Iran Contra scandal that
gave North a free pass on a technicality to GWB and torture and illegal
invasions we have gradually moved to a country where the law applies to
individuals based on wealth or influence not on equality before the law. I am not saying the wealthy and influential
did not always have an advantage, but they at least had to face prosecution and
use their advantage. Today their crimes
are just ignored.
