I have no idea what has caused the
index mess. It isn't to important
anyway.
IN THIS ISSUE
1. Few days in the hospital.
2. From the President.
3. New books on Social Security - Free.
4. Equal opportunity - not equal income.
NOTE FROM FLOYD:
This posting is very
important and because of a few days I had to spend, again, in the hospital, I
am two days late. That should not
dimension the importance of the info in this issue. Unfortunately, there may be more times when
there can be delays that are unavoidable, but I will try hard to keep them to a
minimum. Thanks for your understanding.

FROM THE
PRESIDENT
of
THE UNITED
STATES
of
From the WHITE HOUSE.
September 10, 2013.
NOTE FROM FLOYD:
Seldom will you ever
read anything more important than this message from the President.
|
FROM FLOYD:
In recent days, there
have been many polls taken with regard to the Syrian situation. I would like to point out that polls on
almost any subject, need to be taken with a grain of salt. The reason is, we are not privileged to the
information that has to be considered in making these decisions, particularly
decisions as important and explosive as this one. We can't make a good judgement for this very
reason. Therefore, it is quite unfair to
almost ever, criticize the President.
There can always be factors that he cannot reveal that causes him to
make the decisions he does.

THE LOOTING OF SOCIAL
SECURITY:
The
Book “They” Didn’t Want You to Read
FREE at Amazon.com-- 09/07/2013 TO 09/11/2013
NOTE FROM FLOYD:
Take note regarding the word "FREE" and the date. I had planned to get this out soon enough
this week so that you could have obtained this great book free. Because of a few days in the hospital this
past week, I didn't get it done.
However, I have received a very enlightening e-mail from my dear Friend
Dr. Allen W. Smith, that tells us there will be more books coming that he has
written.
I am going to print his e-mail here as it will be
self-explanatory. I am also printing
the promotional piece for "The Looting of Social Security." Keep in mind the free period has expired on
it, but there is more coming on the same subject.
Floyd
With
regard to the free e-book promotions, Amazon.com sets the rules for it.
They allow you to price your books at zero price for five days during each
90-day period. It's a great program which I just learned about
recently. A total of 730 copies of "The Looting of Social Security
were downloaded during the five-day free promotional period. I consider
that astounding. 730 people now have a copy of my book. It didn't
cost them anything, it didn't cost me anything and it didn't cost Amazon.com
anything. That is a win, win, win situation made possible by
technological revolution. Their is no paper, no printing, and no shipping
costs. They just send out electronic signals.
I wish I
had known about this program sooner. I began a week ago, by making the new
book "The Impending Social Security Crisis" available free from
Amazon.com It didn't do quite as well as the "looting." A
little more than 300 free copies were downloaded.
This Saturday, " Did the government "Borrow" or "Steal"
The Social Security Money?" will be free. The promotion will
begin Saturday, September 14 and end on Tuesday September 17. Below is a
link to that book on Amazon.com.
I will promote another
book next week, and probably will promote a title every Saturday for the next
several weeks.
Friend Allen
The following is the promotional piece for the book "The
Looting of Social Security."
Dr. Allen
W. Smith, while doing research for another book in 2000, discovered that the
surplus payroll tax revenue, that was supposed to be going into the Social
Security trust fund, was being diverted to the general fund where it was being
used to finance wars, tax cuts for the rich and other government programs. For the past 13 years, Allen has been
struggling to expose the great Social Security theft. Today, the trust fund is empty. It holds only non-marketable government IOUs
which are nothing more than an accounting record of how much Social Security
money has been spent on other programs.
The IOUs are worthless. They
cannot be sold, and they cannot be used to pay benefits. Social Security began running permanent
annual deficits in 2010, and is unable to pay full benefits without borrowing
money each year.
This big
dirty government secret is being kept from the public. The Social Security Administration, the AARP,
and the NCPSSM, are all participating in the cover-up of the truth. They repeatedly say “Social Security is able
to pay full benefits until 2033 with no government action.” That is a deliberate lie, and they know it is
a lie! Social Security does not even have enough money to pay this years
benefits. They are counting the $2.7
trillion in IOUs as assets. That money
is all gone! It was all spent for
non-Social Security purposes, and the government has made no provisions to
repay it. That is why there are so many
calls for cutting Social Security benefits.
Benefits will have to be cut unless the government repays the stolen
money. The government has been able to
keep the truth suppressed for the past 30 years, primarily because the news
media avoids reporting anything the government does not want reported. Journalists know all too well what happened
to Dan Rather when he reported a story that the White House did not want
reported.
Dr. Smith
thought the whole scam would come tumbling down when New York publisher,
Carroll and Graf published the first release of
“The Looting of Social Security” in 2004. It received powerful pre-publication reviews
from the Boston Globe and ALA Booklist, and it sold so well, at the start, that
the publisher had decided to go back to press for another printing. But the building momentum came to a
screeching halt when the book was pulled from the market by an unknown
assassin. Within just a few days, the
book disappeared from bookstores throughout the nation, and Amazon.com listed
the book as “unavailable.” It is not known for sure who pulled the trigger in
the killing of the book, but there are organizations, agencies of government,
and many individuals who would have considered the death of the book cause for
celebration. Allen asked the publisher to revert the publishing rights back to
him so he could publish it elsewhere, but the publisher refused to relinquish
the rights. This pretty much silenced
Allen at the very time that George W. Bush was about to launch his
privatization campaign. The book was
released at the time Bush’s privatization crusade was still in the planning
stages. The book posed a major threat to
the success of that campaign, and there is no way the Bush advisers would have
allowed the book to remain available.
After the
positive pre-publication reviews, the Washington
Times published a lengthy article bashing both the author and the book. This appeared to be a red flag to the
conservative community, warning them that a troubling book was about to be
published. As if that were not enough,
Dr. Smith, himself, may have provoked the attack on his book. On February 26, 2004, Allen appeared on CNBC
morning news as one of two invited
guests to respond to Alan Greenspan’s assault on Social Security on the
previous day. Not wanting the moment of
opportunity to be wasted, Allen held his book in front of the camera and said,
“Alan Greenspan should be ashamed of himself for what he is not telling the
American public.” That appearance
probably sealed the book’s fate.

EQUAL
OPPORTUNITY
NOT
EQUAL INCOME
Dr. Allen W. Smith
August 27, 2013
Hi Floyd,
I
certainly agree that the Koch brothers' wall needs to come tumbling down.
I don't believe that the super rich should be allowed to use their money in a
way that is detrimental to the majority of Americans. It's like giving the Koch brothers' a million
votes when the rest of us have only one vote each. When large sums
of money are passed on from generation to generation, it builds up to
such a level that the money can buy a lot of influence for a very
few people. I think that is morally wrong.
I have
always advocated a system based on equality of opportunity. This means that the race of life should be
based on the same principles as other kinds of racing such as auto racing,
marathons, and horse racing. With most races, we insist that
everyone start out on the starting line. Nobody should be allowed to have
a head start, and nobody should be forced to start behind the starting
line. Also, everybody
has to follow the same rules of fairness throughout the race. The
principle of fairness in racing is as American as apple pie, except for a
single race. The one exception to fairness in racing is the race of
life, which starts the day we are born and ends on the day that
we die. Ideally, opportunity to succeed should be the same for every
American baby born. A newborn baby
has not yet had the opportunity to affect his or her future in any way at the
time of birth.
I believe
that the primary determinant of how successful a newborn baby can become is the
circumstances of birth. Those born to wealthy families will have the
best education that money can buy, plus all the other perks that come with
being born into wealth. Those born into poverty will be
dependent on the quality of the public schools in their communities
which are usually inadequate in poverty-stricken areas. The
children of the wealthy will usually receive a substantial inheritance to help
them get a head start in life. One well-known wealthy American
family, who produced several very successful children, allegedly gave each
child a one million dollar gift on their 21st birthday as a "starting out
in life gift."
I don't
believe in equality of income or wealth. Some people work harder than
others and that will be reflected in their financial wellbeing. But I very
much believe in equality of opportunity. There are, of course,
differences in the innate talents, physical abilities and intelligence levels
of newborn babies. Some will have the potential to become great
athletes and entertainers while others will be limited in both their physical
and intellectual abilities. We cannot adjust for that, and I don't think
we should even try. But two babies born with average intelligence and
physical traits should have an equal opportunity to succeed in America .
The primary reason they don't have equal opportunity is the circumstances of
their birth. Wealthy parents can provide all the advantages in life that
can be bought with money. Poor parents can barely put food on the
table.
A
potential way for reducing the inequality of opportunity that exists in this
country would be to implement a hefty inheritance tax and use the
revenue from this tax for programs that are designed to help the
disadvantaged children catch up with the others. Scholarships could
increase the educational opportunities of the disadvantaged. The
goal would be to give all children as much of an equal opportunity to succeed
as possible. Even if we had total equality of opportunity, some
individuals would become a lot more successful than others because of their
talents and hard work. That is as it should be. I don't
believe in taxing success, but I do believe in taxing inheritance.
Well,
Floyd, I sort of got carried away. This is a topic that is very dear to
my heart. For decades I have considered trying to write a book entitled,
"The Race of Life: Why Does Opportunity
Have to Be So Unequal?" Perhaps someday I will write such a
book.
I hope
you are feeling better, and I hope your son is also improving.
Friend
Allen
