Agenda
1.
Finally back.
2.
Good news - - the budget.
3.
From the Chr. of the Dem. National Committee.
FINALLY I'M BACK
Hello folks, hope you
are still with me. I won't go into a lot
of detail, but I have spent a little time in the hospital recently. Back now and, although I'm not quite up to par,
I am able to start thinking again and talking with you.
First, I wish you all a very
Merry Christmas
I don't wish you "Happy Holidays"
because that leaves
"Christ"
out of Christmas.
and a
Happy & Prosperous
New Year.
I am not going to talk
much until after the first of the year.
I do want to point out one thing that you may already know, but it is
worth repeating. House Speaker Boehner
has told the Tea Part to Drop Dead. Yes,
that is what has been reported and the actions he took supports that.
First, Rep. Paul Ryan
(R) and Senator Murry (D) put together a bipartisan budget for the next two
years. As Ryan said, "I didn't get
everything I wanted and Senator Murry didn't get everything she wanted. We compromised and that is the way it is
suppose to work."
Speaker Boehner put
his foot down and got the budget passed in the House. It then, went over to the Senate and was
passed. It has gone to the President for
his signature.
For this Congress, this is
historic. GOVERNMENT WORKING AS IT IS
SUPPOSE TO WORK. No more budget fights
for two years. No more Government shutdowns
due to lack of a budget, for two years.
We are not out of the woods yet
however. Later on there will be a fight
over the debt limit. If, what we have
just witnessed, continues we may see a common sense solution to that.

FROM HE
CHAIRWOMAN OF THE
DEMOCRATIC
NATIONAL COMMITTEE.
FROM FLOYD:
Just before I became
ill, I had picked up on the following, which was about Dec. 16th or 17th so, I
am just going to leave it in as it does tell an interesting story.
Floyd --
Six years ago today, my doctor told me that I had cancer.
No one ever plans for that discussion. Before December 7th, 2007, I was a healthy mother to three great children, I was married to a wonderful husband, I had a fulfilling job with good benefits. But in that moment, I became someone with a life-threatening disease, and my life changed forever.
I am happy to say that, because we caught it early, I am now cancer-free (seven surgeries later).
But cancer will always be my pre-existing condition. Which is why I'm so thankful for what's going to happen next month. Thanks to Obamacare, up to 129 million of us in this country with a pre-existing condition won't have to worry about being denied or dropped from our health insurance. And that's something worth fighting for.
So right now, I need you to join me in standing up for Obamacare.
By expanding access to free preventative care, more and more Americans will have their illnesses detected early -- something that, for me, was life-saving.
This goes beyond politics. It's about the values we, as Americans, all share. Today, six years after my diagnosis, I am more determined than ever to ensure that all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care.
I want to make sure that whenever anyone faces that discussion that no one plans for, they only have to fight for their health, and not their health coverage. If you agree, stand with me in support of Obamacare today:
