This is Floyd and I guess you would have to classify the following, as PERSONAL.  Even so, all of you might find it interesting as well.

 

As some of you may not know, I am 91 years young and I was in the Marine Corps during World War II.  If you are not a Marine, you won't understand the statement that "Once a Marine, always a Marine."  When a Marine see another, whether they are active or inactive, you are immediately Brothers.  You will do anything for each other that you can possible do.

 

Therefore, maybe you can understand what I am going to tell you here.

 

I eat a meal at the IHOP here in Owasso, everyday.  A while back, a young man came over to my table and said "Semper Fi," short for "Semper Fidelis," which means, "Always Faithful."  That is always said as a greeting or leaving statement from two or more Marines.

 

Now, to the point of all this.  Recently, I met a really great Marine at the IHOP restraint.  He had been blown up in Afghanistan.  We meet about every other week and have lunch.

 

Last week I met another great Marine at the grocery store.  He had been blown up twice, once in Iraq and once in Afghanistan.  Both of these men have now been discharged with pensions.

 

He wants to meet with us also.  NOW THE BIG PROBLEM.  HE GAVE ME HIS NAME AND TELE. NUMBER ON A PIECE OF PAPER AND I HAVE LOST IT.  I SO WANT TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM AS WE ARE GOING TO MEET FRIDAY THE 20th.

 

THE ONLY THING I KNOW TO DO IS WRITE THIS IN HOPES THAT HE WILL READ IT AND CALL ME.  HE HAS MY CARD WITH MY TELE. AND BLOG LINK.  THE ONLY THING I CAN REMEMBER ABOUT HIM IS THAT HIS FIRST NAME IS NATHIAN.  I MAY NOT HAVE THAT SPELLED RIGHT.

 

MATHIAN, MY FRIEND, PLEASE CALL ME EVEN IF YOU DON'T SEE THIS IN TIME FOR THIS FRIDAY MEETING.  WE WILL BE MEETING OTHER TIMES AND THEN I CAN CALL YOU FOR THEM. 

 

I thank all of me regular 300 plus viewers for allowing me to print this special.  As I said at the beginning, there will be a regular posting Friday the 20th.
