What is an educated vote? It is one that has been made with as much knowledge, based on facts, not misinformation, that an individual can obtain.

Anniversary Edition

The first posting on this blog was December 28, 2010. Since that date, and as of yesterday, December 18, 2011, there have been 2,009 hits since the beginning. This is very gratifying.

It's rather interesting to note that in the total number there have been 62 from Malaysia, 19 from Russia, 16 from Latvia, and 14 from Germany. Also, single digit hits from Denmark, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Philippines, and Portugal.

At the same time, however, the number of readers have recently fallen off some. It is still about 200 a month, but that is down about 100 from what it had been for about the last five months. Yes, that is disappointing, but I have to think about why?

I guess it could only be one of two things or both. Either the subjects that I write about or the manner in which I write. If some of you are unhappy with either of these possibilities, I can only say that you are as much at fault as I am. You have not bothered to write any comments telling me how you feel. So, until I hear from any of you to the contrary, I will continue as I have. Apparently, most of you are satisfied and I THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT.

THE MEANING OF

C H R I S T M A S

There seems to be a number of different meanings of Christmas. The tradition, of course, of Santa Clause and the excitement of the children on Christmas morning as they go from one gift to another to see what all that Santa brought them. For adults with children, watching them is as exciting as the children are experiencing. Tis the time for joyful feeling and singing.

Yes, that is all true for most of us, but not for all. This year is "the not filled with joy year" for more in our country than before, as we know that the poor in our midst are more than before in recent years

BUT what about the real meaning of Christmas. Why do we celebrate at Christmas time? Why on December 25? It's because that is when the Christ Child was born, who became Jesus and his teachings are what we should be celebrating and committing ourselves to live by. Love thy neighbor and do unto others as you would have done unto you.

Whether you believe in a supreme being or not, you must find, that this simple teaching is a great one to live by. Can you imagine what it would be like, if everyone in the World lived by this teaching? Oh, what a glorious, glorious World this would be. That, of course, will never happen, but we, you and I, can bring the World just a little bit closer to that by the way we treat each other every day. That, to me, is the real meaning of Christmas.

GOOD NEWS & BAD NEWS

I suppose, after what I have just written above, it might be best to just sign off for this time. It is a pretty good thought to finish with. But there are a few points of importance that I just must write a little bit about. But don't loose sight of the real meaning of Christmas.

EXTENSION OF THE PAYROLL TAX CUT

UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS

2012 BUDGET

Well, we start off with some good news. Just 27 hours before we would have another government shut down, Congress agreed to a $1.043 trillion budget for the remainder of fiscal 2012.

The bill was, finally agreed to by the Congressional leaders, after the Democrats removed the extension of the payroll tax cuts and unemployment benefits. This means that we will not be operating all year on short term extending resolutions, as we have this past year.

During the coming, and last, week of this Congress, they will try to put together a bill extending the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits, for 60 days. That will continue these items, until the next Congress, when everyone has had a cooling off period and things may look a little different. Next Congress starts in January.

This Congress, finally is governing as it should be and acting like leaders. I am afraid that we can't look forward to much of that in 2012, however.

I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY!!

I am completely floored. I simply can not believe how gullible our people have become. The snake oil that was suppose to cure everything, that the old peddlers in the Old West sold, didn't hold a candle to the snake oil that Newt Gingrich is selling.

Folks, here is a man, who lied so much, that he was banished from being Speaker of the House of Representatives and from the House, itself, and was fined $300,000 besides.

Here is a man, who has had three wives, which, in and of itself, is alright, except each was his mistress, prior to divorcing the one before, then marrying the next.

Here is a man, who was caught sitting in the passenger seat of his car, in his driveway, in the daytime, with a woman, who turns out to be another man's wife, with her head in his lap. It doesn't take much imagination to realize what was happening.

This, was reported by Lawrence O'Donnell on the TV show "The Last Word." I might add that Lawrence is known for only reporting facts. You have to believe that Lawrence wouldn't chance a lawsuit over this, if it were not true. Therefore, I have no compulsion about reporting it here.

Now, Gingrich is saying that he apologizes for past errors in judgment and that he has repented and asks for everyone to trust him.

Here is a liar of the first class. He has done absolutely nothing to prove that anyone can or should trust him. His entire background proves he is the most underhanded, deceitful con artist who was ever in Congress, in recent memory. If he wants to get back into politics, then he should run for Congress and spend some time proving that he can be trusted, before he tries for the most powerful position in the World.

AND HERE HE IS, THE FRONT RUNNER IN THE GOP CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. WHAT KIND OF A ROLE MODEL IS THIS FOR, NOT ONLY OUR KIDS, BUT FOR ALL OF US?

It is reported that people think he is the smartest, of all the candidates. I don't doubt that one bit. Anyone who is able to get the public to believe that a man of his background should be President, must be very smart.

Now the polls show he has a large lead nationally, but in Iowa, where the first balloting takes place, he does not have such a commanding lead. The Iowa Caucus is going to be very interesting.

I am not as concerned about Gingrich beating Obama as I am about us simply having a man like this even running for President in our Country. What can the rest of the World think of us. If a person believes in this man, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell them. It is just that far- fetched.

I PREDICT THAT GINGRICH WILL START TO LOSE HIS LEAD IN THE NOT TO DISTANT FUTURE. EVEN THOUGH, HE WOULD BE THE EASIEST FOR OBAMA TO BEAT, I SURE HOPE MY PREDICTION IS RIGHT.

UNBELIEVABLE - TO IMPORTANT TO WAIT.

On April 29, 2011, I posted a SPECIAL. It was posting OBOF & SS PART 7A. IT WAS THE MOST SHOCKING POSTING I HAVE WRITTEN. SINCE THEN, I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANOTHER WORD ABOUT IT UNTIL TONIGHT DECEMBER 8, 2011. I am going to put part of posting 7A next, as every word applies right now. I have wondered, since April 27, 2011, what more has ever happened as I have never heard another word about this, until tonight December 8, 2011. After the material that I posted on April 29, 2011, I will add the latest development that was reported tonight.

IS It A CONSPIRACY

WHAT?

I have never been one to think much about Conspiracies. Maybe, I should be a little more diplomatic. How about, "Well Orchestrated Agenda?" Believe me, that is really giving them the benefit of the doubt. The following is going to be shocking. It was to me. I obtained the facts about this action from the Rachel Maddow show, MSNBC on 4-28-11. To support her facts, she interviewed the Mayor of Lansing, Mich. Mr. Virg Bernero. He commended Rachel for being "one of the first, if not the first" to shed light on this latest action by the Governor of Michigan.

anything about this until December 8, 2011

when Ed Schultz on the Ed Show and Rachel

both reported on it and its expansion. I had

thought that someone had gotten to them and

shut them up. I am happy to hear that that has

not happened.)

(Now, couple everything in this posting with

that we really have a serious problem and

I do think it is a conspiracy.)

Rachel reported, that the Governor has said "Democracy is in the way of making things more efficient in Michigan." According to Rachel, he further said "Democracy is not the way we fix things in America." Can you believe that? It's next door to the unbelievable.

The Republican agenda is leading America down a path that is very hard to believe. They say that the Democratic Progressive agenda is leading us to Socialism. Folks, what is happening, particularly in Wisconsin and Michigan, is factually taking us down a path that, oh how I hate to say this, but the facts are there, a path of Dictatorship. YES, that is exactly what is happening.

Now I am fully aware of how strong that statement is, but look at Michigan. In the name of deficit reduction, they passed legislation that permits the Governor to take over a city, if he determines it is in financial trouble. He can take over the city and appoint one person to do whatever he determines is necessary. They have already and are getting ready to do some more, complete take over of an entire city. The people have nothing to say about it.

They send in one man that is in charge of all city functions. He can close a school and he has already removed all the elected officials. What's next? Do you begin to wonder if somebody is going to knock at your door in the middle of the night and haul you off to the poky and ask you a lot of things they may think you have done that they don't want done.

Now, it's not quite that bad YET, but the part of actually taking over a city is happening right now. WE'VE GOT A LOT MORE TO WORRY ABOUT THAN SOCIALISM.

We never before have heard such radical rhetoric that has now turned into radical action. FOLKS! THIS IS DANGEROUS! Now, if you disagree with me, please let me know. Our way of life, in this country, is being threatened. This past week, I have heard no less than four respected authors and analysts, actually refer to the fact that our democracy is being attacked.

The absolutely unbelievable is actually happening. It isn't just being talked about, it is happening right now in Benton Harbor, Michigan. DICTATORSHIP IS NOW ENFORCE IN BENTON HARBOR. I am so nervous, about all this, I can hardly write. The man that has been appointed by Governor Snyder was caught on tape saying how great it is to have this kind of power. He has dismissed all of the elected officials. He has complete control of Benton Harbor.

The Governor has designated 23 other communities in Michigan that are now scheduled to be taken over by him and his appointed director. This is the way HITLER got started. This Director, appointed by the Governor, is acting just like the head of the Gestapo under Hitler.

I imagine that the greater percent of you reading this are not aware of the world under rule by Hitler. I was in the Marine Corps during World War II and while I wasn't personally in Europe, when Hitler took over, I am very well aware of what happened, AS IT WAS HAPPENING. I did have a first hand report from my Brother-In-Law, who was there. If you protested in Hitler's time you only did it once and you would be gone forever.

If you fought back in any way and you were found out, you would get a knock on your door in the middle of the night and be hauled off, more than likely, not to be seen again. YOU DON'T THINK THAT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE? DON'T BE TO SURE. THE ONLY WAY IS FOR US, YOU AND I AND EVERYONE WHO CARES ABOUT OUR BELOVED COUNTRY AND DEMOCRACY, WITH ALL IT'S FAULTS, TO LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THIS HAS TO STOP.

Now I don't want to be an alarmist, but I guess I am. I know what happened back then and what it cost even the United States, to keep it from happening worldwide. You may ask, What can I do about it? There is plenty you can do. Talk to your friends who will probably say "Oh that can't happen here." That's exactly what was said in Germany back in 1937, but it did.

Tell them that it not only can happen here, IT IS HAPPENING HERE. You can call your legislators and tell them what you have heard is happening in Benton Harbor, Michigan or write to them and tell them.

THIS HAS TO STOP

DEVELOPMENTS REPORTED ON 12-8-11

This evening, both Ed Schultz of the Ed Show on MSNBC and Rachel Maddow of the Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, weighted into the State takeover of financially troubled cities in Michigan.

Benton Harbor was the first to be taken over back in April of this year. Since the takeover, all city elected officials have been removed from office. The City Manager has been removed as well as the Finance Director. The Emergency Manager is Mr. Joseph Harris. He is Mr. Benton Harbor with authority to do anything he, alone, decides is needed.

Currently, there are four other cities under review with the strong probability of being taken over. Three of them are Flint, Pontiac, and Detroit. I wasn't able to get the name of the fourth.

Ed Schultz is of the opinion that this is racially motivated, as well as Union busting. He says "If Michigan gets by with this guess what is next."

Rachel reported that in Detroit, it is being referred to as "Financial Marshall Law." In Flint, last week, the Emergency Manager there cancelled all Council meetings and decided to stop paying all the nine council members and the mayor. By the way, the Emergency Manager is paid $180,000 a year.

In Pontiac, they got their Emergency Manager in September. His name is Louis Schimmel. On a radio interview, he said "I don't know Frank, what you would do in a place like Pontiac. Flint, Detroit, and so on, cities of that nature, if you didn't have a Public Act 4.

WJR-AM HOST: Well, its being portrayed as an act that takes the election, the right to a ballot, away from the people, that it takes power away from elected officials, and hands it over to a tyrant, if you will, a dictator. How is that wrong? Where do people get it wrong?

Schimmel: Well, I don't know. I guess, I guess I'm the tyrant' in Pontiac then, if that's the way it is.

In this case, at least, the Emergency Manager is from Pontiac, so maybe that will help a little bit.

Near the end of Rachel's reporting on this matter, she shows a chart that allows me to get the name of that fourth city under review and also a fifth. They are Ecorse, Michigan and Inkster, Michigan.

The chart lists six cities that either have an Emergency Manager or is under review. It shows the population of each and the percent of African American in each. This information is from the U. S. Census Bureau.

Benton Harbor, 10,038, 89.2%. Detroit 713,777, 82.7%. Ecorse 9,512, 46.4%. Flint 102,434, 56.6%. inkster 25,369, 73.2%. Pontiac 59,515, 52.1%.

Rachel and Ed, both, feel this is the most uncovered and important story in the country. Apparently, there are some movements underway to get the Justice Dept. to look into Michigan's Act 4. As more develops on this, I will try to keep you informed. In my opinion, based on the facts I have listed, THIS IS CERTAINLY AN ATTACK ON DEMOCRACY. COUPLE THIS WITH PART 25 AND YOU CAN REALLY SEE IT'S ANOTHER STEP IN THE CONSPIRACY TO DO AWAY WITH DEMOCRACY AND OUR WAY OF LIFE. ITS GOT TO STOP!!
